Am Law 100 firm Polsinelli has added David Gordon, a skilled bankruptcy attorney known for his distinct focus on the distressed health care industry.

Gordon, who will be based in Polsinelli’s Atlanta office, will sit in the firm’s nationally-ranked Bankruptcy and Financial Restructuring practice group and support its nationwide work representing REITs, hospitals, lenders, health care systems, skilled nursing, and assisted living facilities. The firm also routinely represents borrowers, purchasers of distressed assets, secured and unsecured creditors, official committees, and other parties-in-interest in Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases and their non-bankruptcy alternatives.

“David’s extensive experience in the distressed health care industry as well as non-bankruptcy transactional and litigation in both state and federal courts enables him to understand all sides of the law,” said Polsinelli’s Atlanta Office Managing Partner Brian McEvoy, who also counsels health care clients within his Government Investigations practice. “Atlanta is at the heart of a dynamic health care region. We are proud to be able to continue to attract such great individuals who are also incredibly talented layers who complement our collaborative culture by sharing our commitment to service.”

Gordon routinely represents private equity and lenders in all areas of creditors’ rights litigation. His transactional experience includes representing purchasers in 363 sales and representing various parties in problem loan workouts, bridge loans and other financings, forbearance agreements, and other distressed transactions.

“Polsinelli’s award-winning reputation for client service, vibrant and diverse culture, and proven commitment to innovation and technology necessary to exceed our client’s expectations for legal services are outstandingly positive benchmarks for our team’s exciting future,” Gordon said.
