Winstead Welcomes Energy, Environmental and Commercial Litigation Group and Opens New Orleans Office

Law firm Winstead PC has hired an impressive group of energy, environmental, and commercial litigation attorneys, led by Richard (Rick) M. Simses and Paul M. Lavelle, former partners at Beirne, Maynard and Parsons who each have over 30 years of litigation experience, much of which is Louisiana-based. Simses, Charles Miers and Jon Vicklund are joining the firm’s office in The Woodlands, Texas. Lavelle will open the New Orleans Winstead office, serving as its managing shareholder.

Squire Sanders Opens Office in Seoul, Korea

Global legal practice Squire Sanders has opened an office in Seoul, after its application to practice in the Republic of Korea was approved by the Korean Ministry of Justice. The office is led by Joon Yong Kim, a US licensed lawyer who was admitted as a foreign legal consultant by the Ministry of Justice in July.

Adams and Reese Expands in Florida

White & Case Advises on Wheatstone LNG Project

Global law firm White & Case has advised on the acquisition of a 10% interest in the petroleum licenses covering the Wheatstone/Iago gas fields located off the shores of Western Australia, and an 8% interest in the related Wheatstone Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) facility, by the joint venture entity PE Wheatstone Pty Ltd (PEW), which completed on September 25, 2012.
