Hogan Lovells announced today that it is expanding its U.S. Business Restructuring and Insolvency practice with the addition of Peter Ivanick as a partner in New York. Ivanick will also be working closely with the Corporate and Regulatory Insurance practices.

Davis Polk advised Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated, Goldman, Sachs & Co., Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC, Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. and Barclays Capital Inc. as representatives of the several underwriters on the $490 million initial public offering of 27,236,842 shares of Rexnord Corporation, including 3,552,631 shares from the full exercise of the underwriters’ option to purchase additional shares. Rexnord’s common stock is traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “RXN.”

Mayer Brown, a leading global law firm, announced that veteran insurance regulatory advisor James R. Woods has joined the firm as a partner and a co-leader of the global Insurance Industry Group. Also a member of Mayer Brown’s Corporate & Securities practice, Mr. Woods will divide his time between the firm’s offices in Palo Alto, California and New York.  Previously, he was a partner at Dewey & LeBoeuf, where he served as co-chair of that firm’s global Insurance Industry Sector Practice.
