DLA Piper Advises Doosan Power Systems on the Acquisition of AE&E Lentjes GmbH

DLA Piper has been advising Doosan Power Systems Ltd. on the acquisition of a majority shareholding in AE&E Lentjes GmbH from the insolvency administrator of AE&E Deutschland GmbH. As part of the transaction, Doosan Power Systems acquired 99 per cent of the shares in the company, which will henceforth be operating as “Doosan Lentjes GmbH”.

CNOOC Limited has issued a press release to announce that its subsidiary, CNOOC Southeast Asia Limited, sold CNOOC ONWJ Ltd. to EMP International (BVI) Limited (“EMPI”) for consideration of approximately US$212 million. CNOOC ONWJ Ltd. holds a 36.7205% working interest in Offshore Northwest Java Production Sharing Contract (the “ONWJ PSC”) in Indonesia.

DOJ Health Care Chief and Former FCPA Assistant Chief to join Jones Day

The global law firm Jones Day has announced that U.S. Department of Justice official Hank Bond Walther has joined the Firm’s Washington Office as a Partner in the Corporate Criminal Investigations Practice. He will also work on business and tort litigation matters. Mr. Walther served as Deputy Chief in charge of the Health Care Fraud Unit in the Fraud Section of DOJ’s Criminal Division and, previously, as Assistant Chief of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act Unit in the Fraud Section.
