Dentons Adds Real Estate and Tax Credit Finance Partner Scott DeMartino

Dentons, the global law firm, today named Scott DeMartino as a partner in the Real Estate practice and as a member of the tax-advantaged investment sector. He will be resident in the Washington, DC office.

DeMartino focuses his practice on structuring real estate transactions using historic rehabilitation tax credits, new markets tax credits and renewable energy tax credits as sources of financing to construct and rehabilitate residential and commercial projects. He regularly teams with lenders, investors, investment funds, developers and nonprofit sponsors to maximize the benefits of utilizing tax incentive as sources of financing for real estate and renewable energy investments.

DeMartino received his LL.M. from New York University School of Law and his JD from Washington and Lee University School of Law. He earned a BA from Bates College, magna cum laude, and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He serves as Vice President of the board of the DC Preservation League, which preserves buildings of historic significance in the Washington, DC area.
