Cozen O’Connor Continues Growth of Washington, D.C. Office Expanding Energy and Real Estate Practices

Cozen O’Connor is pleased to announce that Bob Fallon and David Tiger have joined the firm as members in the Washington, D.C., office. Fallon is a member of the firm’s Energy, Environmental and Public Utilities Practice and joins Cozen O’Connor from Stinson Leonard Street, where he was a partner. Tiger will join the firm’s Real Estate Practice and comes to Cozen O’Connor from Federman Steifman LLP, where he was a partner.

Fallon focuses his practice on energy regulation by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), electric; hydroelectric; and oil and gas. He brings deep knowledge of the FERC, after having served for 12 years with the agency. He advises on various energy-related matters before Regional Transmission Organizations, state commissions and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, including derivatives, futures and options.

“Bob brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Cozen O’Connor’s Energy, Environmental and Public Utilities practice,” said Barry Boss, office managing partner of Cozen O’Connor’s Washington, D.C., office. “His FERC compliance acumen will bring enormous value to our natural gas and electric clients and will strengthen our already robust D.C. team of regulatory lawyers and specialists.”

Additionally, Tiger concentrates his practice on commercial real estate, non-profit law and general business matters. He handles acquisition, disposition, development and construction of real estate projects; structuring, refinancing and work outs of debt and credit facilities; workouts of distressed assets; and all types of leasing. He also represents non-profit organizations in various types of general business matters.

“David’s wealth of experience in real estate and his standing in the Washington real estate and legal communities makes him a huge asset for our clients, and adds strength to our D.C. and national Real Estate practice,” Boss added.

The addition of these two lawyers continues the firm’s growth and practice offerings in the Washington, D.C. office, which most recently saw the addition of 10 attorneys and government professionals and the formation of Cozen O’Connor’s State Attorneys General Practice. The firm also recently moved to a new space previously built out by Squire Patton Boggs, located at 1200 19th St, NW, to accommodate its rapid growth.

“Expanding our footprint and deepening our bench in Washington, D.C. is a strategic priority for Cozen O’Connor, and the addition of both Bob and David only underscores the momentum we are currently experiencing,” Michael J. Heller, the firm’s president and CEO added.

Fallon received his J.D. from University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law, and Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Louisville. Tiger received his J.D. from University of Maryland School of Law, and Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Maryland.
