DLA Piper Expands Singapore Practice, Appoints Nathan Bush as Partner in Litigation and Regulatory Practice

DLA Piper today announced that Nathan (Nate) Bush has joined the Litigation and Regulatory practice in Singapore as Head of Investigations for Asia and Head of Antitrust and Competition for Asia.

Nate’s practice focuses on internal investigations, regulatory proceedings, and compliance counseling involving anti-bribery and anticorruption laws such as the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA); antitrust and competition laws; fraud and market misconduct; and international trade.

After beginning his career in Washington, DC, Nate practiced in China for eight years from 2004 to 2012 and in Singapore since 2013. Through 12 years of investigative fieldwork and regulatory counseling across the region, Nate has gained valuable experience in the anticorruption and antitrust enforcement challenges facing international businesses active in Asia and Asian companies expanding into other markets. He has advised clients in diverse industries, including financial services, life sciences, technology, media, and consumer goods, on matters spanning China, India, Korea, Japan, and the ASEAN region.

In addition to his current role with the American Chamber of Commerce in Singapore, he has previously served in the roles of General Counsel and Legal Committee Chairman with the American Chamber of Commerce in China. He is a frequent speaker and a prolific writer on antitrust policy and compliance issues in Asia.

Prior to joining DLA Piper, Nate was a partner at a leading international law firm having worked there in Singapore and Beijing. Nate received is JD from Harvard Law School, and clerked for the Hon. Leonie Brinkema in the Eastern District of Virginia. Nate is member of the DC Bar.
