Cirulnick, in the firm’s Corporate practice, and Michelle Ontiveros Gross, also a technology transactions and outsourcing attorney in the firm’s Corporate practice.

In making the announcement, Venable Chairman, James L. Shea, described the reasons for the firm’s expansion.  “Through our legislative and regulatory practice, we are uniquely well-positioned to provide timely insight into, and dialog with officials involved in, the inner workings of the federal government, which is particularly relevant to burgeoning Bay Area industries and clients.”

“We will continue to offer top-flight regulatory and legislative advice to small, medium and large companies in the region who are increasingly encountering scrutiny from Washington, DC.  We also have a strong intellectual property group, which we believe will also be of value to clients in the Bay Area.  We can provide these services along with and in the context of business transactions, enforcement actions and litigation, which we currently regularly handle,” Shea added.
