Jones Day Welcomes Pittsburgh Litigation Partner Andy Stanton

The global law firm Jones Day has announced that Andrew R. Stanton has joined the Pittsburgh Office as a partner in the Business & Tort Litigation Practice. He was formerly a partner with K&L Gates LLP in Pittsburgh.

“We’re delighted that Andy has decided to bring his energy and experience to our already formidable litigation group,” said Laura Ellsworth, Partner-in-Charge of Jones Day’s Pittsburgh Office. “We take great pride in being named in consecutive years to BTI Consulting’s “Fearsome Foursome” (the four law firms general counsel least want to see on the other side of the table), and Andy’s broad courtroom experience perfectly complements our existing global team.”

Mr. Stanton’s practice has focused on insurance coverage, commercial disputes, and government enforcement issues. He has successfully tried state and federal court cases in numerous jurisdictions, argued multiple appeals, and represented clients before various arbitral tribunals. “Andy has a track record in some hot-button areas that are of particular interest to our clients,” said Charles Carberry, leader of the Firm’s Business & Tort Litigation Practice. “He’s litigated for policyholders seeking insurance coverage for third-party bodily injury and property damage claims as well as first party property damage and business interruption claims. He’s conducted internal investigations and advised clients with respect to False Claims Act and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act issues. He also has handled complex commercial disputes. We heartily welcome him to the practice.”
