John Vassiliades Joins the Phoenix Office of Gordon & Rees

John Vassiliades recently joined our growing Phoenix office. John’s practice focuses on intellectual property, technology focused business transactions and general business law for technology based businesses. A registered patent attorney, John has negotiated hundreds of business transactions that develop and monetize intellectual property rights. These include licensing, Research & Development, Mergers & Acquisitions, Internet Technologies, E-Commerce, commercial OEM/VAR product distribution deals, strategic alliances, equity joint ventures, due diligence, patent strategy, risk assessments, among many other structures and projects. John handles both domestic and international transactions. He has also served on litigation teams as an IP advisor on cases involving computer software infringement, trade secret misappropriation, biotech patent infringement, trademark infringement and infringement involving mechanical/medical device inventions.

John is a Duke and University of North Carolina law graduate, holds a masters degree in biological sciences from the Johns Hopkins University and an MBA from USC. He is also an active participant in the commercial accelerator programs for high tech companies that are funded by the National Institutes of Health and the National Science Foundation. These emerging companies are developing the most cutting edge technologies in such fields of biotech, medical devices, IT, ed tech and e-commerce.
