Attorney James J. Eisenhower Joins Dilworth Paxson

Dilworth Paxson LLP announced today the arrival of James J. Eisenhower as a partner in its Philadelphia office.

Eisenhower, who has been active in government and politics, focuses his practice on government and regulatory matters and white-collar criminal defense. He has previously represented public officials in federal and state ethics investigations, advised clients in federal, state and local campaign finance matters, and has represented the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, as well a national financial institution in Philadelphia and Pennsylvania regulatory matters.

“The breadth of Jim’s expertise is about as impressive as it gets,” said Ajay Raju, CEO and Chairman of Dilworth Paxson. “From government oversight and civil rights, to insurance fraud, political corruption and international criminal law, his background is remarkable. As a successful prosecutor, regulatory adviser, chair of statewide commissions and authorities, and a National Security Council office director, Jim is proceeded by a sterling reputation across an array of disciplines. We’re thrilled to have him join Linda Dale Hoffa and Anthony Kyriakakis to round out Dilworth’s burgeoning white-collar defense practice, and there’s no doubt he will be an invaluable asset to the firm and our clients alike.”

From 2003-2004, Eisenhower chaired the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency. In 2005, Gov. Ed Rendell appointed him to the Pennsylvania Intergovernmental Cooperation Authority.

Eisenhower is a former federal criminal prosecutor with the U.S. Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division and a former Assistant United States Attorney in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. During the Administration of President Bill Clinton he served as the Director of the Office of Global Affairs, National Security Council.

Eisenhower commented, “I am honored to join Dilworth Paxson, a firm I’ve long admired for its legacy of excellence and public service to our city, region, and nation.”
