Mayer Brown strengthens Corporate & Securities practice with addition of Arnaud Pérès and Jean-François Louit as partners in Paris

Mayer Brown announced today that Messrs. Arnaud Pérès and Jean-François Louit will join the firm as partners in the Corporate & Securities practice in Paris.

Arnaud Pérès, who was previously a partner at Davis Polk, has extensive experience in public and private M&A, equity capital markets and complex cross-border restructurings. He has been involved in some of the highest profile transactions in the Paris market.

Jean-François Louit joins Mayer Brown from Scotto & Associés, where he was head of the corporate M&A practice. Mr. Louit advises French and international companies in M&A and capital market transactions, including initial public offerings. His specialties also include corporate governance and management incentive schemes in private equity transactions.

Messrs. Pérès and Louit have previously worked together at Davis Polk and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.

“Arnaud and Jean-François are highly regarded in each of their fields of expertise and we are delighted to welcome them both,” said Jean-Philippe Lambert, a member of the global management committee. “Their combined skill set in M&A and capital markets strategically complements our existing platform both in Paris and globally.”

The partners will officially join Mayer Brown on 1 April.
