Shearman & Sterling is advising Quadramed, a provider of leading information technology solutions for the healthcare industry, on the sale of Quantim, its health information management (HIM) business, to Nuance Communications, Inc. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Quantim provides hospitals and healthcare organizations with software and services that maximize HIM professionals’ productivity while ensuring appropriate financial reimbursement to the institution. Nuance Communications is a leading provider of voice and language solutions for businesses and consumers around the world.
