Weil Advises Verizon Communications Inc. in its $4.4 Billion Acquisition of AOL Inc.

Weil is advising Verizon Communications Inc. in its agreement to purchase AOL Inc. for approximately $4.4 billion, in a deal that will further drive Verizon’s LTE wireless video and OTT (over-the-top video) strategy. The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals and is expected to close this summer.

Weil has advised Verizon and its predecessors for more than 30 years on some of its most significant transactions, including most recently its acquisition of the Intel Media Business from Intel Corporation and its acquisition of EdgeCast Networks, Inc.
