Stacy H. Louizos Joins Drinker Biddle’s Investment Management Group

Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP has expanded its Investment Management Practice with the addition of Stacy H. Louizos as a partner residing in the New York City office.

She continues the firm’s growth in New York and adds significant capabilities to our nationally recognized Investment Management Practice Group.”

Ms. Louizos’ practice focuses on the representation of registered investment companies and their independent directors and investment advisers. She has advised clients on a broad range of matters relating to the operation of investment companies, including the organization and offering of open-end and closed-end investment companies, mergers of individual mutual funds and of fund complexes, and board governance, compliance and other regulatory matters under the federal securities laws.

She has extensive experience in counseling the Independent Trustees of both small and large fund groups on matters relating to board governance and best practices, as well as with respect to their duties under the Investment Company Act of 1940. She has substantial experience relating to variable annuity funds, funds of funds, manager of managers structures, master-feeder funds, money market funds and with the annual 15(c) contract renewal process. She also advises companies on their status under the Investment Company Act of 1940.

Ms. Louizos earned her law degree from Washington and Lee University School of Law and her bachelor’s degree from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
