Robert Heller Joins Winston & Strawn in New York

Winston & Strawn LLP is pleased to announce Robert Heller has joined the firm’s Tax Practice as a partner in the New York office. Mr. Heller was most recently a partner at Covington & Burlington LLP where he provided a broad range of tax support to the corporate group firmwide on transactions in a variety of disciplines and industries.

Mr. Heller concentrates his practice on all aspects of corporate and partnership transactions, specifically structuring and negotiating domestic and international M&A transactions in addition to strategic joint ventures for both corporate and investment fund clients.

“We remain focused on expanding our Tax Practice capabilities and our presence in key markets such as New York,” said Tom Fitzgerald, Winston’s firmwide managing partner. “The addition of Robert will reinforce our commitment to these goals.”

Mr. Heller is the second partner to join Winston’s Tax Practice in New York within the past month. The firm recently welcomed Lawrence Hill from Shearman & Sterling where he served as Global Head of the Tax Controversy and Litigation Group, as well as Global Head of Financial Institutions.
