Dolly Mirchandani Joins White & Case as a Partner

Global law firm White & Case LLP announced today that Dolly Mirchandani will join the Firm as a partner in its New York office. Mirchandani, formerly with Allen & Overy LLP in New York, helped facilitate the introduction of private investment in public infrastructure in North America, having advised on multiple transactions that each were first-of-its-kind.

“Dolly is one of the top infrastructure lawyers in the United States and rounds out our premier domestic and global Infrastructure Practice” says Art Scavone, Global Head of the Firm’s Project Finance practice. “Her specific expertise in transportation and other public infrastructure assets gives us significant strength in a sector where we anticipate strong growth over the near to medium term.”

Mirchandani is highly experienced representing public grantors, private bidders, and financiers in the tender of greenfield and brownfield public-private partnerships. She is also active representing both buyers and sellers in secondary sales of public infrastructure concessions and in the development or acquisition and financing of private infrastructure assets.

Mirchandani’s arrival is particularly timely, as both the executive and legislative branches of the US government have recognized the need to improve and expand public infrastructure through private investment. The White House is taking steps to stimulate the development and rehabilitation of public infrastructure—specifically through leveraging private capital—and market participants are generally optimistic that the velocity and complexity of deals will increase under the current administration, perhaps dramatically.

Mirchandani joins a team of seasoned infrastructure lawyers in the Firm’s global Project Finance and Mergers & Acquisitions Practices and will be a member of the Firm’s global Private Equity Industry Group.

“Dolly is a highly visible infrastructure specialist who is just entering the prime of her career,” says Chris Hansen, Regional Section Head of the Americas Energy, Infrastructure, Project and Asset Finance section. “Her addition strengthens our existing team and supports our ambitious growth strategy in the United States.”
