Boies, Schiller & Flexner Boosts Corporate Group with Addition of New Partner

Boies, Schiller & Flexner has added highly experienced corporate attorney Dev R. Sen as a partner in its Corporate Group in New York. Mr. Sen’s expertise in the area of corporate finance will complement the firm’s existing mergers and acquisitions and private equity practice.

“Dev has a huge list of deals behind him that he has built up over a career of nearly 25 years,” said Christopher Boies, the head of the firm’s Corporate Group. “This expertise will accelerate our ability to serve clients taking part in a range of transactions, and particularly in corporate finance,” Mr. Boies said.

The lawyers in Boies, Schiller & Flexner’s Corporate Group advise clients on a broad range of transactions, many of them cross-border, and draw on all of the firm’s resources, including the partnership of world-class litigators. Mr. Sen’s addition is part of a process of growing the Corporate Group in a deliberative and extremely selective manner, Mr. Boies said.

Mr. Sen has a general corporate practice with a particular focus on bank and capital markets debt finance, including project finance in the energy, oil and gas and infrastructure areas, and secured and unsecured bank and capital markets debt finance, including Rule 144A, public and institutional debt finance, such as representation of insurance companies in debt private placements. He also focuses on joint ventures and M&A, and private equity related matters. Mr. Sen also possesses considerable experience in alternative investment transactions, and with corporate reorganizations and restructurings. Mr. Sen is also well versed in investment management and securities lending and receivables purchase transactions.

He was ranked as one of the 10 “Most Highly Rated Project Finance Lawyers” by Project Finance magazine and has consistently been recognized by Euromoney’s Experts Guide and IFLR 1000 as a leader in Project Finance. Mr. Sen has also been selected as a New York Super Lawyer.

Mr. Sen started his legal career at Sullivan & Cromwell and was a partner at O’Melveny & Myers before joining Boies, Schiller & Flexner.
