Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP acted as legal counsel to Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors in its sale of 19 student housing properties to American Campus Communities (ACC). The total value of the deal is $862 million.

Kayne Anderson’s real estate private equity division invests primarily in off-campus student housing. ACC is the largest owner, manager and developer of high-quality student housing properties in the United States.
