Simpson Thacher represented the underwriters, led by Citigroup Global Markets Inc., J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC, in connection with the public offering by Texas Instruments Incorporated of an aggregate of $1.5 billion in investment grade notes.

Texas Instruments designs and makes semiconductors for sale to electronics designers and manufacturers all over the world. The company intends to use the net proceeds from the sale of the notes for general corporate purposes.

The Simpson Thacher team for the transaction included, among others, Joseph Kaufman, Sunny Cheong and Bennett Surajat (Capital Markets), Jonathan Cantor and Andrew Purcell (Tax), Michael Isby (Environmental) and Jennie Getsin (FINRA and Blue Sky).
