IP Litigator Delphine Knight Brown Joins Axinn

Axinn, Veltrop & Harkrider is pleased to announce that Delphine Knight Brown has joined its Intellectual Property Group as a partner. She will be based in the firm’s New York office.

An experienced high-stakes litigator, Ms. Knight Brown has tried numerous intellectual property and commercial cases involving a wide range of industries and products, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, computer software and hardware, and business methods and processes.

Many of her cases—involving both U.S. and European enterprises—have centered on patent infringement, including Hatch-Waxman cases for generic pharmaceutical companies, as well as matters based on antitrust issues, unfair trade practices, accounting and securities fraud, complex contractual disputes and corporate reorganizations.

“Delphine adds a deep set of patent and trial skills to an already formidable Intellectual Property Group,” said James Veltrop, Axinn’s Managing Partner. “Her ability to manage and successfully litigate increasingly complex IP and commercial cases, both here and abroad, has been well documented. Clients throughout the firm will be well-served by her counsel.”

“I am looking forward to being a part of the Axinn team,” said Knight Brown. “The firm’s extensive scientific expertise, coupled with its experienced trial lawyers, makes it an excellent fit for my growing practice.”

Prior to joining Axinn, Ms. Knight Brown was a partner with Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP, where she focused on complex intellectual property and technology litigation. Prior to that, she served as special counsel at Kelley Drye & Warren LLP, where she represented corporations in state and federal courts nationwide in pre-trial, trial, arbitrations and appellate proceedings.

Ms. Knight Brown earned her J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law and her B.A. from Princeton University.
