Squire Sanders Appoints New Moscow Partner

Squire Sanders has appointed Eugenia Bektasheva as European partner in Banking and Finance in its Moscow office.

Previously a senior associate at Allen & Overy LLP’s Moscow office, Eugenia has substantial banking experience, representing international lenders and Russian borrowers on the structuring and implementation of various finance transactions, including syndicated and bilateral secured and unsecured loans. Eugenia has been involved in a number of high-profile real estate finance and project finance transactions for European, US and Russian clients. She also advises clients on a broad range of corporate, real estate, M&A, joint ventures, restructuring and insolvency procedures. 
Eugenia earned a diploma in law with honors from the Russian State University of Oil and Gas in Moscow and also holds an MBA degree from Grenoble Graduate School of Business (France). She previously spent several years working in-house at Gazprom, one of the world’s largest energy companies, and in private practice working at the Moscow office of another leading international law firm.
