Jones Day Adds David Vander Haar to M&A Team in Minneapolis

Jones Day has announced that David Vander Haar has joined the global law firm as a partner in its M&A Practice. He will be based in the Firm’s Minneapolis Office, which opened earlier this year.

A corporate attorney for more than 30 years, Mr. Vander Haar has represented public and private companies in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, and restructurings and reorganizations.

“David is a valuable addition to our M&A team here in Minneapolis and a great fit for our global transactional practice,” said Brian West Easley, Partner-in-Charge of Jones Day’s Minneapolis Office. “His experience with complex matters will benefit our clients in numerous industries. We are extremely happy he’s joining Jones Day.”

In addition to extensive experience representing buyers and sellers in M&A transactions, Mr. Vander Haar has provided general corporate and limited liability counseling, corporate governance advice, and antitrust and Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (“CFIUS”) counseling in connection with mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Vander Haar is an active member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, having previously served as chair of both the Business Law Section and the Business and Professional Corporations Committee. He has been consistently listed in The Best Lawyers in America in Mergers and Acquisitions Law, Corporate Law and Corporate Governance, including being named Minnesota Corporate Governance Lawyer of the Year, 2015.

Mr. Vander Haar is a member of the Safety Net Committee of Greater Twin Cities United Way where he served on the Board of Directors from May 2009 through May 2015.
