Middleton Reutlinger strengthens its Intellectual Property Practice Group with two attorneys

Middleton Reutlinger is pleased to announce that Amy B. Berge and Joseph R. Dages have joined the firm’s Intellectual Property (IP) Group. Formerly, both Amy and Joe were attorneys in the Louisville office of Bingham Greenebaum Doll.

Berge provides strategic brand counseling to both small and large companies regarding worldwide intellectual property creation. A significant part of Berge’s practice involves the development, management and exploitation of international trademark portfolios, trademark rights online and brand enforcement strategies. Berge serves as an advisor and litigator. She assists in obtaining and maintaining trademark and copyright registrations, negotiates agreements and litigates. She has litigation experience before federal and state courts, as well as the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.

Dages has proven to be a rising star in trademark, copyright, and internet law. Working alongside Berge since 2011, Dages has gained considerable experience in a short period of time. Dages has worked with clients in retail, gaming, tobacco, health care and others.

Berge served as Leader and Co-Leader of Bingham Greenebaum Doll’s Intellectual Property Team. Berge is also returning to her roots, as she is rejoining the firm that she started with following law school.

Dages received his bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from Hanover College and his law degree, cum laude, from Indiana University Maurer School of Law. Dages is currently participating in the Fund for the Arts – NeXt! Leadership Development Program and is a member of the American Advertising Federation – Louisville Chapter, Young Advertising Professionals.

Berge received her B.S. in Business from Auburn University and her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Louisville School of Law. Berge has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America®, 2006-2014, in the fields of Copyright Law and Intellectual Property Law. Berge has also been listed in Chamber USA: America’s leading Lawyers for Business in the area of Intellectual Property – Kentucky, 2008-2014. She was most recently named to the 2014 IP Stars in the Managing IP Magazine published by Managing Intellectual Property®.
