Kilpatrick Townsend Expands White Collar Defense and Cybersecurity Practice

Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today the addition of Raymond Aghaian to the firm’s Los Angeles office. Mr. Aghaian will be a Partner in the firm’s Complex Business Litigation Team.

Mr. Aghaian served as an Assistant United States Attorney with the Department of Justice in the Central District of California where he was a member of the Cyber & Intellectual Property Crimes Section. As an experienced trial lawyer, he helped lead the Department’s efforts to investigate and prosecute an array of white collar crimes including: bribery, copyright and trademark infringement, healthcare fraud, theft of trade secrets, cyber intrusions, mail, wire, and bank fraud, money laundering, tax evasion, and mortgage fraud.

Mr. Aghaian joins the firm from McKenna Long & Aldridge where he served as the co-leader of their cybersecurity practice. His experience in cybersecurity has been recognized in the media by The Wall Street Journal and the Washington Post.

Mr. Aghaian earned his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. He received his B.A. from University of California, Santa Barbara. Mr. Aghaian is recognized by Southern California Super Lawyer in White Collar Criminal Defense and Legal 500 in Trade Secret Litigation. While at the Department of Justice in the Central District of California, Mr. Aghaian was nominated for the prestigious Attorney General’s Award, the highest award in the Department of Justice.
