Squire Patton Boggs Strengthens Global Corporate Practice Through New London Partner

Squire Patton Boggs has appointed Kashif Siddiqui as a partner in its Global Corporate Practice in London.

With previous experience at Allen & Overy LLP, Mr. Siddiqui has significant corporate expertise, with his practice focused on cross-border mergers and acquisitions (both public and private), disposals, joint ventures and reorganisations. He advises investment banks and multinational companies, in sectors such as financial services, aviation and transport, media, hospitality and leisure, as well as acting for private equity firms.

Highlights of Mr. Siddiqui’s transactional work include acting for a Swiss aviation services company in relation to the sale of its ground-handling business at Gatwick, Newcastle and Birmingham Airports; acting for a US food company on its acquisition of a baby and toddler food company; and advising a global luxury hotel group on the disposal of a significant property to a Middle East based hotel group.

Jane Haxby, EMEA chair of the Global Corporate Practice, said: “Kashif’s arrival strengthens our cross-border corporate capabilities in London. In recent years the international focus of our practice in the UK has expanded considerably, and the ability to advise on complex investments, both inbound and outbound, is significant for our clients. Kashif’s experience with a wide range of financial institutions, corporates and private equity extends across Europe and the Middle East and will complement our teams here in the UK and internationally.”

The appointment of Kashif Siddiqui is the latest boost to the firm’s Global Corporate Practice, which has been expanding in several key markets, and follows the hire of Bart Vanderstraete as partner in the Brussels office last month.
