Cross-Border Transactions Partner Igor Krivoshekov to Join Akin Gump in London

Akin Gump today announced that Igor Krivoshekov will join the firm as a partner in its cross-border transactions practice in London. Mr. Krivoshekov is expected to join Akin Gump in December 2016 from Dentons, where he is one of the leaders of the UKMEA private equity practice. He has practiced extensively in the United States and Russia and has particular experience in the oil and gas sectors.

Mr. Krivoshekov’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions and other private equity transactions, particularly in the energy and natural resources sector. He advises multinational groups, private equity and other investors in the development of their domestic and international strategies. His transactional experience includes handling deals in numerous jurisdictions, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Western Europe, Russia, Eastern Europe, the Asia-Pacific region and Latin America.

During the course of his career, Mr. Krivoshekov has structured and executed complex share and asset acquisitions, private equity transactions, multi-jurisdictional restructurings and cross-border joint ventures in a number of industries, including oil and gas, specialty chemicals, commercial airlines, retail, telecommunications, automotive products, professional services and financial products.

About Igor Krivoshekov

Prior to joining Dentons in 2010, Mr. Krivoshekov was a partner in the London office of a leading U.S. law firm, having previously practiced in its Moscow office. Before that, he worked at another U.S. firm in Chicago and London.

Mr. Krivoshekov received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame Law School. He has an M.B.A., cum laude, also from the University of Notre Dame, and he received his B.A. from Moscow State University in Russia.
