Counsel Level US Cap Markets - Native Chinese - Beijing

A great opportunity for a senior US cap markets associate at a top US firm in HK / China, NYC or other major US market to land a counsel spot in Beijing.  Candidate must be fluent in Mandarin, preferably native Chinese. Supervising partners are not Chinese, so this person will be relied on heavily to run deals and also help manage client relations.  This is a top 15 international firm and for numerous reasons it is a clear shot to equity partnership opportunity.  This firm has a very competitive counsel package of over 500k USD all-in (including cola / expat).  While a 6th or 7th year will be considered, the firm has a policy that one must be at least an 8th year before holding the title of counsel.  If a 7th year is hired, there will be guarantee of promotion to counsel at beginning of 8th year.  This firm's US cap markets practice in HK / China and Pan Asia is very busy so there is a lot of deal flow and institutional clients.  The right hire will be given client relations to manage and there is a clear path to partnership available that does not rely on variables outside of the new hire's control for there to be a business case for promotion to partner.  The business case exists already.  It is a key strategic hire.
