Compliance and Investigations Partner Joins Norton Rose Fulbright

Norton Rose Fulbright today announced that Mike Munro, an experienced corporate compliance risk management and investigations lawyer, has joined the global law firm as Head of Compliance of its Houston office. Munro comes to Norton Rose Fulbright as a partner from Transocean Ltd., where he was Vice President, Deputy General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer.

Munro’s practice will focus on assisting clients in addressing global business risks through compliance program development, improvement and assessments, appropriate investigations and the proper management of compliance-related government relationships, settlements and ongoing reporting obligations. He has significant experience in managing complex government investigations and settlements as well as working with post-merger organizations.

Prior to joining Transocean, Munro held global compliance risk roles at energy companies Baker Hughes and the Bristow Group. He previously worked for The Dow Chemical Company for more than 15 years in various legal, compliance and regulatory-related roles.
