Andrew Lin is the Managing Director of the Hong Kong office of Kinney Recruiting. Andrew was most recently Vice President and Assistant General Counsel in the investment banking division at JP Morgan in Hong Kong, where he was responsible for all of the investment bank's equity capital markets transactions in North Asia, including deals for some of the largest US- and Asia-based corporations.
Prior to JP Morgan, Andrew was an associate with Davis Polk & Wardwell, in its Hong Kong and Beijing offices. At Davis Polk, Andrew focused on all manners of capital markets transactions, including initial public offerings in the US and Hong Kong, convertible bond offerings, and other equity and equity-linked transactions, as well as private equity transactions. He also routinely advised major Asian US-listed companies on their US securities laws and corporate governance compliance. Representative clients included Morgan Stanley, Citi, JP Morgan, Deutsche Bank, China Investment Capital Corporation, the Carlyle Group, Starr International Asia Limited, Agricultural Bank of China, Acer, Longfor Properties, Hanting Hotels, Tatung and Advanced Semiconductor Engineering.
Prior to graduating from law school, Andrew also served as a law clerk for Judge David A. Nelson of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, where he penned case opinions for the judge and analyzed/advised on case briefs. Andrew graduated from the University of Michigan Law School, where he was an editor of the Michigan Law Review, and from the Ohio State University Fisher College of Business, where he was a University Scholar.
Andrew is a member of the state bars of New York and California. He speaks both Mandarin and English fluently.
