Gordon & Rees Pittsburgh Office Doubles in Size with Addition of 17 New Attorneys; Expansion Includes New Office in Harrisburg, PA

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani LLP has expanded its Pittsburgh office with the addition of a 17-lawyer group from Pittsburgh’s sixth largest firm, Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote P.C.

The group includes partners John W. Burns, Christopher J. Haselhoff, Matthew J. Horgan, Andrew G. Kimball, Jennifer M. Kirschler, Brant T. Miller and Katie M. Mills, and associates Christine S. Cornell, Beth A. Frederick, Leanne M. Gaefke, Anthony J. Judice, Erica M. Kelly, Lauren M. Kelly and Lauren M. Oelrich, all of whom will be resident in the firm’s Pittsburgh office. Partners Thomas M. Chairs and Aaron S. Jayman, and associate Joshua D. Leaver will be based in the newly-opened Harrisburg, PA office.

Pittsburgh managing partner Manoj Jegasothy noted, “Several of us in the Pittsburgh office had previously worked with a number of the lawyers who have joined us, and we couldn’t be more excited to have these excellent lawyers and high-quality individuals join Gordon & Rees. Their practice areas complement the existing office and the Pittsburgh market. We are also very happy that the geographic footprint and business model of the firm were driving factors in attracting this kind of talent.”

Matthew Horgan previously chaired Dickie, McCamey’s Captive and Insurance Program Services and Health Law Business groups, and was co-chair of its Medical Malpractice Defense group. Brant Miller chaired the firm’s Real Estate group and also has many energy clients. Overall, the new attorneys bring additional depth to Gordon & Rees’s already substantial energy, health care, real estate, commercial litigation, and professional liability groups.

Since 2000, Gordon & Rees has more than tripled in size, adding more than 20 offices outside California, and has a major office in eight of the 10 largest cities in the United States. In the last two years alone, Gordon & Rees opened seven new offices: Birmingham, Ala.; Charleston, S.C.; Oakland, Calif.; Philadelphia, Pa.; Raleigh, N.C.; and Tampa, Fla. Harrisburg is the firm’s first new office in 2015.
