New Partner Strengthens M&A Practice in Bryan Cave’s German Offices

The international law firm Bryan Cave LLP has expanded its corporate and M&A practice in Germany with the addition of new partner Dr. Kirsten Girnth. Girnth joins from DLA Piper, where she was former managing partner of the Frankfurt office and joint co-location head of DLA Piper’s German corporate practice group.

Girnth’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate law and commercial law. She frequently advises major multinational corporations and SMEs in various sectors – including information technology, automotive, chemical, health care, energy and utilities, and telecommunications – in cross-border transactions, co-operations, joint ventures and corporate restructurings. Girnth advises clients on all aspects of acquisition or divestment processes with an emphasis on drafting and negotiating relevant contracts and related documentation and setting up and performing due diligence procedures on the buyer’s and seller’s side. She develops pre- and post-merger strategies and assists her clients in their implementation.

Dr. Tobias Fenck, managing partner of the Frankfurt office comments:

“Bryan Cave’s global M&A practice is regularly ranked among the top 10 legal advisers for M&A work involving U.S. clients. Kirsten Girnth will significantly strengthen our capabilities in Germany. We will continue to grow our corporate and M&A practice in Europe to jointly advise on international, cross-border transactions alongside the teams in the U.S. and Asia.”
