Eversheds announces a new office in Pori, Finland

Law firm Eversheds in conjunction with Attorneys JB Eversheds, has announced theopening of a new office in Pori, in the west coast of Finland.

The office which opens on 20 April 2015 will be the sixth such opening in Finland, joining the firm’s existing successful practicesin Helsinki, Hämeenlinna, Jyväskylä, Tampere and Turku.

Pori which is recognised for its culture of innovation, is one of the most industrialized areas in Finland and productivity is above average. The firm anticipates that by opening an office in the region, it will be able to serve both a local and global client base, as well as making legal services available to clients in the Satakunta economic region.

The Pori office will be headed by a new Partner hire, Attorney-at-LawSampsa Kataja, a specialist in business, contract law and taxation. Sampsa has also served as a Member of Parliament, acting as responsible for the Legal Affairs Committee and as the Chair of theFinance Committee’s Tax Subcommittee.
