Evan P. Jowers, Esq. is the Managing Director of the New York and Hong Kong offices of Kinney Recruiting. He has had extraordinary success particularly in Asia, having made more than sixty US attorney placements in Hong Kong / China already in the past two years and more than any other recruiter in that region.

Recently, Evan was recognized as one of the top 20 recruiters in the world by Law Dragon. Further, one top 5 US firm recently informed Evan that he made more placements at the firm worldwide in the past year than any other recruiter, even though his placements were all in Asia offices.

Evan is a graduate of Boston University School of Law, where he was a G. Joseph Tauro Scholar. He completed part of his law degree abroad at Oxford. At the University of Florida, for undergrad, Evan majored in Russian and was a member of the Phi Sigma Iota International Honor Society.

Upon graduating from law school, Evan worked as an associate in the Private Client Group of Cadwalader, Wickersham and Taft's New York offices, where his practice focused on international tax planning for high net worth clients.Evan subsequently served as general counsel for an international manufacturing company, based in Miami, with a number of factories in Russia and Ukraine, with over 3000 employees.

Before entering law school, Evan lived and worked in St. Petersburg, Russia, as an executive staff member of the St. Petersburg International Business Association, a lobbying group for hundreds of major international companies, firms, and foreign consulates with a presence in Northwest Russia. Before graduating from the University of Florida, Evan also spent two years in active duty in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Russian Linguist, with honorable discharge.

Prior to joining Kinney Recruiting, Evan served as a Managing Director for another major national attorney recruiting firm and he has six years recent experience in high-level attorney recruiting, with a focus on major law firms, top boutiques, and in-house positions in New York, the Asia markets, and elsewhere. Evan is an extraordinarily successful recruiter and he has made multiple attorney placements in a number of jurisdictions, including Japan, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Russia, UAE, United Kingdom, California, New York, Texas, Colorado, Florida, District of Columbia, Louisiana, Arizona, Georgia, North Carolina, Massachusetts, and New Jersey.

Evan was born in Singapore and was primarily raised in New Orleans, where he has extensive family. Evan has for several years been splitting time equally between New York, Miami and Hong Kong, and considers all three cities home. Evan is admitted to practice law in New York.

When he does have time off from his busy recruiting practice, Evan can often be found traveling to interesting destinations with his wife, Tatiana, with a focus on Asia, Middle East, Eastern Europe, where they have personal ties; or he might be supporting Gator athletics or the New Orleans Saints.
