Lathrop & Gage Welcomes Two Attorneys in Chicago

Lathrop & Gage LLP announced today that Darren VanPuymbrouck has joined the firm’s business litigation practice as partner and Gregory Zinkl, Ph.D, has joined the firm’s intellectual property practice as of counsel.

About the New Attorneys:

Darren VanPuymbrouck – VanPuymbrouck is a national trial lawyer who has tried dozens of high-profile lawsuits in state and federal courts across the country throughout his 25-year career. His litigation experience ranges from complex product liability claims, including catastrophic fire and explosion incidents, to class action and multidistrict litigation, as well as complex commercial, financial, real estate and contract disputes. VanPuymbrouck obtained his juris doctor from Loyola University School of Law where he served as an editor of the Law Review and later served as a Law Clerk to the Chief Judge of the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Dr. Gregory Zinkl – Dr. Zinkl focuses his practice on intellectual property, primarily within the industry of biotechnology. He assists clients with patent preparation and prosecution, opinion work, due diligence work, contract drafting and negotiation. Zinkl has patent prosecution experience in the fields of genetically modified organisms, biological intervention in disease, as well as pharmacology and mechanical arts. He obtained his Ph.D. from Harvard University and his juris doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law.
