Greenberg Traurig Adds Raymond Bogenrief to its Chicago Corporate Team

Raymond F. Bogenrief has joined the Chicago office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP as a shareholder in the Corporate & Securities Practice. He was previously with Vedder Price and Kirkland & Ellis.

Bogenrief will continue to focus his practice on complex business transactions, particularly leveraged buyouts for private equity funds and domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions. Bogenrief has represented some of the largest names in private equity in transactions ranging in size from several million dollars to more than $4 billion. He will also continue to represent public companies, private companies, and venture capital firms in negotiating and structuring acquisitions and divestitures, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital investments, equity and debt financings, recapitalizations and restructurings, and executive compensation and incentive equity matters, as well as advising on general corporate governance and compliance.

Greenberg Traurig’s Corporate & Securities Practice comprises more than 400 lawyers who advise public and privately held companies, hedge funds, and money management firms on global mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, private equity and venture capital, underwritten and syndicated offerings, commercial finance and syndicated lending, cross-border transactions, and general corporate matters. The group’s industry experience includes transactions in a wide range of fields, from the pharmaceutical, medical devices, and life sciences fields, to representations involving clients in the aviation, banking, energy, health care, manufacturing, technology, and telecommunications sectors.

Bogenrief earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Washington University School of Law and his M.A. and B.A. from Northwestern University.
