Andre Zhu Joins White & Case as a Partner in Beijing

Global law firm White & Case LLP has further expanded its private equity capabilities in Asia-Pacific with the addition of Jianchong (Andre) Zhu as a partner in Beijing.  He joins the Firm from Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom and brings almost ten years of experience.

“Private equity in Asia-Pacific is growing rapidly and we’re excited to continue strengthening our presence in the market,” said White & Case partner Alex Zhang, who heads the Firm’s offices in China. “Andre’s arrival strengthens our private equity offering and ability to support our clients in China and across the Asia-Pacific region on all aspects of their transactions.”

Zhu, who joins the Firm’s Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice, has extensive experience advising financial sponsors and strategic investors on cross-border public and private mergers and acquisitions, including US going-private transactions and private equity transactions, as well as advising corporate clients and investment banks on various corporate matters.

“Andre’s private equity experience supports the growing needs of our financial sponsor clients, who are increasingly focusing on inbound and outbound M&A in Asia,” said White & Case partner Chris Kelly, who leads the M&A practice in Asia-Pacific. “His familiarity with capital markets and funds provides additional strength to our private equity offering in China.”
