Lewis Brisbois Expands Mid-Atlantic Presence With Two New Partners

Lewis Brisbois is pleased to welcome Scott Krause and Ashley Marucci as partners in its Baltimore Office.

Krause’s practice focuses on defending healthcare professionals and the defense of legal malpractice, employment, and directors and officers claims. He also has experience handling general liability and casualty matters, including product liability and premises liability defense.

“We are very excited to have Scott and his team join Lewis Brisbois,” said Los Angeles Managing Partner Timothy R. Graves, speaking on behalf of Lewis Brisbois’ Management Committee. “They come with a strong and broad litigation background and will help us build our presence in Baltimore and along the eastern seaboard.”

In addition to his litigation experience, Krause regularly defends various professionals against board licensing actions in Maryland and Washington, D.C.

Krause also has experience speaking and writing about professional malpractice defense, risk management, and related topics and served as an adjunct faculty member at the Anne Arundel Community College for more than a decade.

“Lewis Brisbois’ national reputation and presence drew me to the firm, but meeting with several partners at Lewis Brisbois reinforced that joining the firm was the right decision,” Krause said. “I am fortunate that my colleague Ashley Marucci joined me in the move. We look forward to solidifying and growing the Baltimore office and establishing Lewis Brisbois in the mid-Atlantic region.”

Ashley Marucci joined Lewis Brisbois’ Baltimore office as a partner in the Legal Malpractice Defense Practice on November 14. Marucci’s litigation practice focuses on legal malpractice, medical negligence, personal injury, and employment claims, as well as representing professionals in disciplinary board matters and general civil litigation.
