Firm Puts Halt on Promotions
Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner held a meeting earlier this month to announce to associates that their policy for making partner had change. From now on, the partner title would be given to significantly fewer senior associates, and the firm has established strict guidelines describing the process. The firm assured current partners that this new policy would not affect their standing.

Dewey Ballantine LLP and LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae LLP have announced that their respective partnerships have approved their intended merger.
